Lemon + Himalayan Salt + Water

 

Benefits: 

 

  1. Liver - Aids in the function of the liver. Reproductive organs are governed by the liver and the kidneys. All the more reason to focus self-care around holistic health that supports the function of all the organs and body systems 

  2. Adrenals - Supportive to the adrenals use more Vit C than any other gland in the body

  3. Elimination - aka poop

  4. Vitamin C - Lemons are highest in Vit C but also thiamine, pantothenic acid, folate, vitamin B-6, magnesium and potassium

  5. Hydration & Mineral Absorption - we can be dehydrated first thing in the morning after sleeping for hours, the salt assists in water absorption and contains beneficial trace minerals, electrolytes, and elements 

  6. Organic - using organic produce reduces exposure to certain harmful pesticides which can interact negatively with the endocrine system hormone levels

  7. Spleen - warm and cooked foods allow for easier digestive function of the spleen. Cold foods make the spleen work harder.  This is especially for women with irregular cycles, clotting, and brown discharge. Your spleen is in need of some extra attention, along with focusing on gut health, digestion and nutrient absorption.  

 

Ingredients: 

  1. Fresh Organic Lemons - 1/2 lemon 

  2. Himalayan Salt - pink salt - 1/4 teaspoon  

  3. Water - Distilled, RO, Alkaline, or Spring - 12-16 oz


Directions: 

  1. Add warm water (*not hot), salt, and half of a lemon in a glass. 

  2. Drink from a bamboo, or stainless steel straw to protect teeth

  3. Wait 30 minutes to eat or drink anything else

*Water that is too hot can kill the enzymes from the lemon
